Delay: Day II

I spoke to the Thomas Cook representative at 11:00 this morning and we have to call back at the desk this evening at 18:30 for an update.

I will be remaining in Room 151 for another night at least. As far as clients staying in hotels are concerned, it isn't costing us any more money really, because we are half-board. The only extra cost is for drinks, and bottled water is readily available in supermarkets, should one wish.

I have just bought a litre bottle of that excellent Don Simon orange juice with bits for my room.

  1. Stick to the gin. It is the only way a gentleman can tolerate foreign climes.

  2. That's what I'm concerned about. It runs through my veins! I've got through one bottle of Tanquaray and a half-bottle of Gordon's, plus the odd snifter in the bar, too.

  3. I think you can send your bill to the airline, or travel company. I think an invoice for (inter alia) gin would be in order! You may as well make the most of it,

  5. I've forked out almost £40 on a ticket for an opera at the GOH on Thursday! It's all done online with electronic ticket etc or I could forward it to you!

Golden Wedding lunch on Sunday, too.

Craig, I've eased up on the devil's brew, having consumed a bottle of Tanqueray, half-bottle of Gordon's and the odd cocktail and restorative in the piano bar.
