Hi Tim i have a good friend who was bestowed with a L.V.O a few years ago,he doesn't use it after his name although i think it is the equivalent of an O.B.E. in rank.I was thinking was this because Her Majesty appointed this personally rather than by a member of the public that it's not in common usage,well every knows M.B.E. O.B.E etc but L.V.O.?

  4. Indeed anyone who is a member of the Royal Victorian Order has served the Queen or a member of the Royal Family in a particular way - often could be employee, secretarial, a service abroad, at Court, anything in fact.

    I got two impertinent messages from someone anonymous and had to delete them.
