This family is descended from a younger son of Count Dolling, who fled from Toulouse, in France, to England ca 1580. This Dolling embraced Huguenot opinions, and settled in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, where he was living in 1613.
His descendant,

HARRY HOLBECHE RADCLYFFE DOLLING (1893-1986), wedded, in 1970, Hazel Marion (1923-2006), elder daughter of SIR ROBERT GEORGE ALEXANDER STAPLES, 13th Baronet, of Lissan House, County Tyrone, though the marriage was without issue.
