do you know the origin of the name 'Brackenber' ? I cannot suggest anything.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, yet, how it got the name. Perhaps Mr Sewell chose it because it reminded him of some place by that name elsewhere.
ReplyDeletei have just googled it - Brackenber is a small hamlet in Cumbria. You may well be right : he could have had happy memories of Brackenber. You should pay a visit - sounds in very nice Lake District area.
