Who edits the BBC Northern Ireland news online? How can such an demi-literate ignoramus have got a job in Broadcasting House?
Whoever they are, they persist in calling Lady Hermon "Lady Sylvia" [sic].
Unbelievable. Half of the people who "work" in that place ought to be made redundant, at any rate.
Lady Hermon is not the daughter of a duke, marquess or earl. Ergo, it is incorrect to refer to her in the manner BBC NI use.

Bee in the bonnet? She never refers to herself as Lady Sylvia, so I shouldn't worry about. The BBC never gets anything right, and has an congenital class agenda.

Indeed, I've let the blighters get under my skin. Weakness.
I must try harder to ignore them more. It's hard.
I'm sure the lady in question doesn't encourage them, in that sense.
Must admit, I do refer to her the same way occasionally, although I am under probably less of a duty of care in that I am not broadcasting to the rest of the nation! Will pay more attention in future!
Ha ha! They have a library full of reference volumes, they are getting paid public money for a service, they have no excuse.
I am being pedantic, I know; it's a weakness. They, though, are fair game.
I actually think that whoever wrote that article on their website did it despite me! :-) They're good at taunting us.
