Greenfinch Deaths

We heard a banging noise from one of the windows five minutes ago, and that only means one thing - a bird hitting the window.

I immediately went outside to investigate and there were two male greenfinches, both lying within a foot of each other, dead, on the ground. Two.

I wonder if one was pursuing the other; or if they were having an argument...

Our conservatory once claimed 10 in one day. The corollary of the niger seed!

As long as they flew into the window and it isnt Trichomonisasis you are ok. If its trichomonisasis then you have to take your feeders down for a week and wash and sterilise them before starting again.

I really must tackle that nasty job - cleaning the feeders. It is something I neglect to do regularly. I know it needs to be done.

Cutting and pasting Craig's spelling led me to some ghastly women's disease, so for information here is a link to the correct description!

Would that be the gynaecological condition? :-(
