Hi Tim,
I'm afraid I can't help with the names of any boys, but it is still interesting to see these old photos. I vaguely recall school photos hanging in BHS - was it in the downstairs classrooms, or on the stairs? Maybe the latter was for the mighty BHS football team! It still amuses me to see everyone wearing shorts - the idea of trying to persuade my son to wear shorts to school doesn't even bear thinking about!
Cheers,
J
Yes, it's a great way of keeping Brackenber's memory alive, isn't it? Especially for those far afield, in places like Australia.
I had difficulty uploading a few of them; I had to convert the file from TIF to jpg or whatever! Got there in the end, though.
Ah, the poor small boys in their shorts, forced to sit cross-legged on the ground.
The one fourth from the right doesn't look too happy!
I hope they didn't have to sit in that "pose" for too long! :-)
My son, who is still in his 20s, wore shorts throughout prep school!

Methinks that is your colleague in the upper chamber, Lord Professor Bew (4th from the right, 3rd row up).
Ah yes. Is that a tweed jacket Bew is wearing?
Good comment about faraway places! I'm on the extreme right of the row with Paul Bew in it. Again I remeber a lot of those faces and names. Wonderful stuff, thanks for those postings!!
